hydrotherapy

wellness through water

Hydrotherapy is an age-old tradition that harnesses the power of hot and cold water to promote wellness and vitality.
This process involves a combination of sauna, steam room, and hot and cold pools. There are many benefits to hydrotherapy including improved blood flow, stress release, deep relaxation, easing of muscle tension, boosted immune system, detoxification and a general feeling of well-being.

The Hydrotherapy cycle
HOT
15-20 minutes
The hydrotherapy cycle begins with 15 to 20 minutes enjoying a heated experience, such as the sauna, steam room, infrared sauna or hot pool. The intense warmth causes the muscles to relax and joint pain is noticeably reduced. The high heat ensures blood is pumped from the heart through the veins, helping to flush out toxins and regulate the blood.

COLD
1-2 minutes
The cold plunge pool and cold shower are an essential part of the hydrotherapy cycle. The cooling down process accelerates the return of the blood to internal organs, facilitates toxins flushing out and closes the skin pores to prevent dehydration. The increased blood flow aids in repairing sore muscles and alleviating discomfort in strained areas. We recommend staying in the cold portion of the cycle for one to three minutes.

REST
10-20 minutes
Once a hot-cold cycle is complete, rest is needed to allow the body temperature to equalize. Our resting area is a quiet space for simply resting or even taking a nap. Reflection and meditation are encouraged in this space before repeating the hydrotherapy journey.
